Pamela Sue "Pam" Pointer Watkins, age 62, of Canon, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born February 7, 1958, in Winterhaven, FL, she was the daughter of the late Winfred Pointer and Gloria Patterson Jerrells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Winfred Lee Pointer, Penny Jane Pointer, and Donna Denise Pointer; a great grandson: Josyah Ostolaza. She was a member of Old Pathway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Watkins; children: Kenny (Michelle) Bessinger, Penny Bessinger, Bobby Joe Bessinger, John Watkins, and Allison (Shannon) DeFoor; sister & brother-in-law: Gail & Ronnie Corbitt; brothers & sisters-in-law: Randy & Joyce Pointer and Bobby & Liliana Pointer; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at the funeral home chapel with burial following in Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery. The service will be viewable on the Pam's Tribute page of stricklandfh.com Due to the current community health crisis no visitation or public service will be held at this time.
