Obituary
Mr. Parker H. Holland, 70 of 22 Attis Point Dr, Hartwell, died Sunday, May 1 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on May 18, 1940 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Truman W. Holland and Flora Schultz Holland.He was retired owner & operator of Holland Plumbing and Electrical. He was a member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge # 690, a Shriner, veteran of the U S Army, member of the VFW and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons,Wendell Holland, Dennis Holland and Steven Holland all of Hartwell; a brother, Larry Holland of Hartwell; a sister, Margaret Holland of Hartwell and four grandchildren, Avery Holland, Ethan Holland, Alayna Holland and Brayden Holland also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Reed Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Dulaney, Rev. Jerry Durham and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 Tuesday.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday evening.The family is at the home of his sister, Margaret Martin, 5058 Royston Hwy, Canon.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Reed Creek Baptist Church, 130 Boleman Hill Rd, Hartwell GA 30643.
