Mrs. Patricia Sanders Ayers, 81, of Dewy Rose, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025 at her home surrounded by her husband and children.
Born on May 23, 1944 in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Sanders and Mildred Sanders. Mrs. Ayers was an artist who enjoyed creativity and was wonderful at china painting, oil painting and ceramics. She was a retired social worker who specialized and had a great passion for Alzheimer's patients. She was also a lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband: Kenneth Omer Ayers of Dewy Rose; three children: Daphne Ayers Wilson of Elberton, Troy Ayers (Amanda) of Hartwell, and Amy Ayers of Colbert; eight grandchildren: Leanne Hughes (David), Patrick Beri (Jessica), Ashton Ruff Jones (Blake), Olivia Ruff Bell (Andrew), Trevor Ayers, Emma Ayers, Brayley Ruff, and Isabella Ayers; seven great-grandchildren: Dawson & Jenny Hughes, Anderson & Emryn Beri, Locklan Jones, Conley & Candler Bell; one brother: Phillip Sanders (Johnnie) of Elberton and her brother's wife: Emilyn Sanders.
Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her parents; her older brother: Dan Sanders; and a great-granddaughter: Collins Caroline Bell.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Patricia Ayers will be Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Bio Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Ayers and Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the celebration service in the church fellowship hall.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
