Mrs. Patricia Ann (Buffington) Cole, 79, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home. Born December 23, 1937, in Lavonia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Robert Buffington and Myrtie (Vickery) Buffington. She graduated from the Lavonia High School and worked at Bartson, Inc. for a number of years. Mrs. Cole was a staff member for many years at the Owl's Nest.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas "Tommy" Cole; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Alton Buffington and Robert Buffington, Jr.; and sisters: Geraldine Isbell and Launa Isbell.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith and Mr. Terry Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
