Mrs. Patricia Dillard "Pat" Sanders, age 84, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her home.
Born February 12, 1934, in Gold Beach, OR, she was the daughter of the late William Berkley Dillard and Opal Lorene (Lawler) Dillard. She was a graduate of Hayward High School and loved being a housewife and mother. After retirement she worked as an administrative assistant at State Farm Insurance. Mrs. Sanders was an active member of the Lavonia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years: David Sanders; children: David (Johnnie Lynn) Sanders, Mike (Kevin) Sanders, Deborah Leigh (Ralph) Martin, and Tim Sanders; brothers: Tom Dillard, Bill Dillard, and Bob Dillard; grandchildren: David IV, Paul, Michael, Elizabeth, Arthur, Travis, Stephanie, Lyles, and Robert; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Dillard.
The memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Lavonia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Lacey Bowcock and Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 53 Rock Drive, Toccoa, GA 30577 or to the Lavonia United Methodist Church, Alpha Center or Food for Kids, P.O. Box 176, Lavonia, GA 30553.
