Mr. Patrick Edward McLaughlin, 26, of Terry White Road, Aragon GA, formerly of Hartwell, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Emory – St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 8, 1988 in Athens GA, he was the son of Patrick Edward McLaughlin Jr. and Teresa Teasley McLaughlin.Patrick was a graduate of Barnes Academy of Hartwell and an Engine Builder at Pat's Speed Shop.He was a member of 153 Car Club, loved car racing and go-cart racing and was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include his parents: Patrick McLaughlin of Aragon GA and Teresa T. McLaughlin of Hartwell; a son: Caden Patrick McLaughlin and his son's mother, Lindsay Jones of Hartwell; a brother: Curtis McLaughlin of Hartwell; maternal grandparents: Allen and Haley Campbell Teasley of Hartwell; paternal grandparents: Patrick Edward Sr. and Teresa A. McLaughlin of Gainesville GA and Susan and Ronnie Faust of Greensboro GA.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks, Rev. John David Mangrum and Pastor Karen Belton officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body will be placed in the Cornerstone Baptist Church at 12:00 noon Wednesday and the family will receive friends until the funeral hour.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Playground Fund, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
