Mrs. Patsy Adams Brown, 84, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at her home.

Born on May 5, 1940 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Adams and Willie Blanche Gurley Adams. Patsy married her husband Vinson on August 11, 1962, at their home on Lake Hartwell. In 1964, they had their first daughter Sherry. In 1967, their second daughter Sandra was born. Patsy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing with her husband. They were both known for their smooth dance steps. She worked at The Hartwell Garment Company for many years and retired from there in 1993 when her granddaughter Caitlin was born. In 1997 her grandson Conner was born. She was so happy and determined to keep both of her grandchildren because they brought so much joy to her life. She was also of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband: Vinson Brown of the home; two daughters: Sherry Brown Ankerich and Sandra Brown Kesler (David), all of Hartwell; a loving grandmother to two grandchildren: Caitlin Ledford (Kyle) and Conner Ankerich (Cierra); and one great-grandson: Luke Ledford. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Herbert Adams & Jimmy "Bo" Adams; and two sisters: Allene Fleming and Frances Jeanette Acker.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Brown will be held Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell With Rev. Terry Meeks officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
