Ms. Patsy Lee Saxon Holmesly, 43, of 186 Whispering Pines Rd., Canon, died Saturday, December 29 at her home.

Born on June 25, 1964 in Franklin Co. GA, she was the daughter of Thurmond Saxon Jr. and Dessie Rowland Chandler.She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Bowman.

Survivors include her father: Thurmond Saxon Jr. of Elberton; mother and step-father: Dessie P. Chandler and her husband Pittman of Canon; husband: Donald Holmesly of Hartwell; son: John-Eric Ray Holmesly and his wife Kasondra Morris of Hartwell; two daughters: Jessica Saxon and Sara Bingham both of Canon; brother: Kenneth James Saxon and his wife Emily of Vanna; two sisters: Teresa Ann Saxon of Atlanta and Shana Manley Kelly and her husband Rev. Daearl Kelly of Canon; two grandchildren: Marissa May-Lee Saxon and Keily Marie Starr Holmesly also survive.She was preceded in death by a sister: Melissa Saxon Dutton, grandmother: Bertha Rowland and step-father: B.B. Purcell.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Gary Sanders and Rev. Daearl Kelly officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.The family is at the home of her mother & step-father: Dessie and Pittman Chandler, 150 Whispering Pines Rd, Canon.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to defray funeral expenses.
