Paul Steven Mitchell, age 60, of Martin, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, at his home.

Born July 20, 1963 in South Carolina, he was the son of the late Clem and Cora Grubbs. He was a forklift operator for Loadstar and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son: Steven Mitchell; daughter: Kayla Bannister; grandchildren: Amber Witcher and Justin Witcher; siblings: Teresa Rholetter, Johnny Mitchell, Faye Brown, and Carl Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Adjutant.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Wood and Rev. Josh Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at their respective homes. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Pablo Gonzalez, Dale Hammett, Jeremy Harbin, Ricky Rholetter, Wayne Roach and Clay Robertson.
