Mrs. Paulette Sarah Wood Abbott, 61, of Whippoorwill Trail, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at her home.

Born on November 23, 1954 in South Africa, she was the daughter of Mabel Mangrum Wood and the late Roy Wilson Wood.Mrs. Abbott was a retired registered nurse from Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband: Gerald Eugene Abbott; one daughter: Andrea Walker; step-daughter: Michelle Abbott; two step-sons: Donald and Jerry Abbott; six grandchildren: Kiran and Kesh Fellenz, Nathaniel, Briannah, Laura, Jennifer Abbott; one brother: William Baxter Wood. She loved and enjoyed her two dogs: Shortie and Sparky.Mrs. Abbott was preceded in death by her father: Roy Wilson Wood and one sister: Elizabeth Wood Boykin.

A memorial service will held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. James Talmage officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell prior to the service.The family is at the home.
