Mrs. Paulette Hunnicutt Powell, 68, of Liberty Hill Rd, Hartwell, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home.

Born in Royston GA, she was the daughter of Freeman Hunnicutt and the late Ida Floyd Hunnicutt.She provided a children's daycare service in her home for several years and was the owner of Powell's Garage.She attended Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father: Freeman Hunnicutt of Hartwell; two sons: Scott Powell and his wife Wendy and Wesley Powell and his wife Kim all of Hartwell; a daughter: Pam York and her husband Grant of Bowersville; two sisters: Linda Jolly of Hartwell and Debby Emerson of South Daytona FL; seven grandchildren: Casey Powell, Kate Powell, Bobby Powell, Zac Wood, Sidney Skelton, Peyton Powell and Lock Powell also survive.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 13 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker, Dr. Hugh Kirby and Rev. John Silver officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
