Mrs. Pauline Brewer Carlan, age 71, of Carnesville, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa.
Born September 5, 1941, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bessie (Holmes) Brewer. She retired from Carwood Manufacturing and attended New Bethel Congregational Holiness Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jeffery and Yvonne Carlan of Carnesville; daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Dennis King of Toccoa; grandchildren: April Ledford, Brian King, Leigh Carlan, Chris Carlan, and Caleb Carlan; great-grandchildren: Breanna & Sophia Ledford and Alexis & Preston King; and brother: Dennis Brewer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Preston Carlan; sister: Jo Pilgrim; and brother: Clarence Brewer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
