Obituary

Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Dickerson Motes, 86, of 244 Motes Road, Dewy Rose GA, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Hart County Hospital.

Born September 10, 1921 in Hart County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Talsie Dickerson Hooks.She was a homemaker and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, UMW and Maude Brown Sunday School Class.

She is survived by:Sons, Denver Motes and his wife Carol of Royston, GA, Joe Motes and his wife Lucy of Dewy Rose, GA and Wayne Motes and his wife Joyce of Dalton, GA; Daughter, Peggy McGee and her husband Robert of Dewy Rose, GA; Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a great great-grandchild also survives.She is preceded in death by her mother; husband, Earley Nicholas Motes; Brother, Curtis Dickerson and a grandson, Jason Motes.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 30 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Doug Brown and Rev. Donald Hazelgrove will officiate.Burial will be in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends
Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Joe & Lucy Motes, 1390 Thermon Adams Rd, Dewy Rose, GA.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 352 Bethesda Church Rd., Hartwell, GA30643
