Obituary
Mrs. Peggy Joyce (Phillips) Cain, age 84, of Lavonia, died Monday, September 5, 2016 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born July 25, 1932, in McDonough, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Clark "Bud" Phillips and Jessie Mae (Moss) Phillips Christian. She was a homemaker and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands: Melvin Lee Collins and Carl Cain; son: Michael Collins; brother: Corky Phillips; and sister: Vivian Hildebrand.
She is survived by her sons: Asa Collins, Bruce Collins, Joe Cain, and Jason Young; daughter: Cindy Fulghum; brother: Gene Phillips; sister: Carol Smith; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Forbes officiating. Flowers are optional or donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Alms Fund.
