Mrs. Peggy Ann Owens Burgess, 63, of Sanders Court, Hartwell, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at her home.
Born on April 3, 1957 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Owens and Macie Crider Owens Rowland.She was a retired store clerk for Lakeside Exxon.
Survivors include her husband: Norman F. Burgess; a son: Christopher James Burgess (Meghan) of Hartwell; a daughter: Christy Burgess Hunnicutt (Chales) of Hartwell; a sister: Glenda DeGrave of Hartwell and eight grandchildren: Maylea Burgess, C J Burgess, Leann Burgess, Hunter Johnson, Jason Johnson, Mason Johnson, Caleb Hunnicutt and Jonah Hunnicutt.Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: James Owens and David Owens.
Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.
Peggy wished to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date by her family
