Mrs. Peggy Sanders Price, 83, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Rainey Hospice House of Anderson, SC.

Born on June 2, 1941 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Howard Sanders and Edith Estes Sanders. Mrs. Price was a cutting room inspector for Gips Mfg. where she was a devoted and beloved employee for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Macedonia Methodist Church. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a being a mother figure to all the children in her neighborhood.

Survivors include her son: Dale Price of Hartwell; daughter: Jan Allen (Rob) of Hartwell; two sisters: Barbara Cox and Judy Partain (Terrell), all of Hartwell; one grandson: Cody Price (Amanda); one step-grandson: Jason Allen (Jennifer); two great-grandchildren: Sawyer & Colson Price; and three step-great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Ryker, and C.J. Allen. Mrs. Price is preceded in death by her parents and her husband: John Thomas "J.T." Price.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Price will be Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Hart County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 45, Hartwell, GA 30643.

The family would like to thank all the family and caregivers that helped care for both Peggy & J.T. over the years.
