Peggy Juanita Goodwin Sanders, age 76, of Canon, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at her home.

Born April 30, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Francis Goodwin. Before retirement she worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Sanders was a member of the Destiny Fellowship. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Becky & Shannon Hart, Sherry Simpson & Christopher Benjamin; grandchildren: Amanda Dunn, Keith Macris, Nicholas Hart, and Zachary Hart (Mirena); great grandson: Grayson Merk; sisters: Doris Whitley (Shane) and Diane Long, In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband: James Larry Sanders; siblings: Linda Dove, Charles Goodwin, Steve Goodwin and Jimmy Goodwin

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Bowers Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home.
