Miss Peggy Lynn Thomason, 62, of Flat Shoals Road, Bowersville, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on December 3, 1961 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. "Buddy" Thomason, Sr. and Mary Leon Gurley Thomason. Ms. Thomason was a radiologist in Habersham County for 17 years, and worked as a CNA for 10 years in home health care in Hartwell.

Survivors include her five brothers: Danny Thomason (Drusilla), Dennis Thomason, Stephen Thomason, Charles Thomason, and Jeffrey Thomason, all of Bowersville; one sister: Pamela Schuster (Bill) of Bowersville; two nephews: Matt Thomason (Melissa) and Danny Schuster (Sadie); one niece: Rebecca Lynn Thomason; and four great nieces & nephews: Gavin Thomason, Savannah Thomason, Alyssa Thomason, and Quinten Schuster.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Miss Peggy Thomason will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sean Payne officiating.  Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
