Mr. Perry A. "Bob" Starcher, 79, of 6730 Lavonia Hwy., Lavonia, GA, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, Augusta, GA.
Born February 11, 1928 in Big Chimney, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Minter J. Starcher and Devona Davis Starcher. He was retired from Owens Illinois Glass Company in Stator, IL, a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, American Legion and was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
His survivors include: Wife, Mozelle Fowler Starcher of the home; Sons, Steve Starcher of Sidney, NY, and Jeffery Starcher of Lavonia, GA; Pamela Starcher of Wisconsin, Connie Handzo of Roseville, IL, and Karen Carey of Lavonia, GA; Sisters, Christine Simon, Toledo, OH, Carol Canada, of Charleston W. VA, and Ruth Ann Harper of Charleston, W. VA; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel. Rev. Joe Black and Rev. Ken Brewer will officiate. Burial will in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m. The family is at the home.
