Robert "Pete" Carter, age 80, of Lexington, OH, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023.

He was born December 19, 1942 in Lavonia, GA, he was the son of the Late Thomas and Collis Carter. Pete had a deep passion for all things John Deere and spent countless hours tending to his prized green machines.

He is survived by his wife: Connie Carter; children: Cynthia Haavisto (Clyde), Chris Carter and Amy Carter-Ross; grandchildren: Carrie Sabljakovic (Mac), Christine Yee (Scott), Chelsea Carter, Nicholas Carter, Jenna Ross; great grandchildren: Ayman Sabljakovic, Gwen Yee and Cory Yee; Siblings: Donald Carter (Barbara), Brenda Nix, Sharon Buffington, Sheila Carter, Clifton "Papa" Carter (Vickie), Douglas Carter, Jeff Carter (Karen). Also survived by uncle: Ernest Sonny Carter (Mary), aunt: Mary Jarrett (Alvin) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: brother James Carter, sister Nancy Carter Whitworth.

Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Davis Babcock Funeral Home in Willoughby Ohio. The family received friends at the funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
