Mr. Leslie W. "Pete" Stovall, 76, of Cardinal Lane, Hartwell, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

Born on June 16, 1938 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Alex Stovall and Mittie Crooks Stovall.He was a retired machine operator from Tenneco Auto Equipment Co. and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church.Mr. Stovall attended the Starr Church of God of Prophecy and was a US Army veteran.

Survivors include one daughter: Sharon Stovall of Anderson; one son: Wayne Stovall and his wife Connie of Cumming, GA; two grandchildren: Alex and Austin Stovall; one brother: Alton Stovall of Hartwell and one sister: Joan Thomas of Hartwell.Mr. Stovall was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Carolyn Jones Stovall; two brothers: Herman Stovall, Holton Stovall and three sisters: Sallie White, Ruth Herndon, and Ruby Senkbeil.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Leland Pitts officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday night.The family will be at the home of Wayne & Connie Stovall, 100 Cardinal Lane, Hartwell.
