Mr. Phillip Edward Gaul, 70, of 1613 Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell, GA, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

Born April 16, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Cyril Lee Gaul and Isabella Gunn Kane Gaul.He was a Retired Owner of P.D.M. Roofing Company of Bullhead City, AZ.He was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and U.S. Navy Veteran.

His survivors include:Wife, Janet F. Goettlicher Gaul of the home; 1st wife, Sandra Gaul of Bullhead City, AZ; Son, Martin Gunn Gaul of Bullhead City, AZ; Daughter, Roxann Sue Stroth of Henderson, NV; Stepdaughter, Michelle Van Eaton of Chicago, IL and Cynthia Morrison of N. Mankato, MN; Sister, Ellen Means of Tucson, AZ; Eleven grandchildren, Jefffery Gentner, Jamie Gentner, Christian Coutts, Madison Probst, Marty Gaul,Jacob Gaul, Tyler Gaul, Corey Gaul, Lindsey Morrison, Elise Morrison; Great grandchild, Alan Christopher Gentner.He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Lee Gaul.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Cokesbury United Methodist Church.Rev. Dean Kring will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service.The interment of the ashes will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday October 18, 2008 at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
