Mr. Phillip Colquitt Sims, 66, of Canon GA, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his home.
Born in August 22, 1947 in Tacoma WA, he was the son of Doris Wolfe Sims and the late Colquitt Sims Jr. Mr. Sims was a graduate of Georgia State University and was longtime owner and broker of Goldmine Reality.He served in the U.S. Army as a combat veteran in Vietnam.
Survivors include his mother; wife: Linda M. Sims; brother: David S. Sims & his wife Wendie; sister: Lori Jarman & her husband Andy and mother-in-law: Joan B. Johnston.
Following cremation, the family will have a private memorial service.The Phillip C. Sims Fund for Animal Care has been established at the Royston Animal Hospital, 2888 West Main Street, Royston GA 30662, (706) 245-6650 www.roystonanimal.com, where donations may be made in his honor.
