Phyllis C. Farmer, 63, died January 16, 2011 at Candler Hospita1. The Hartwell, GA native was raised as a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Hart County. After moving to Guyton, she became a member of Pineora Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who had worked with the Clarke County School District for 12 years. She loved to cook, collect cookbooks and go to the beach at Tybee Island.
Survivors include her husband, William Ben Farmer of Guyton; son, John W. Farmer (Crystal) of Savannah; grandson. William Ben Farmer, II of Savannah; her father, Emmett H. Craft of Simpsonville, SC; sister, Roberta Moore of Hartwell; and nieces, Tina Knowles of Hartwell and Jana Graham of Clayton.
Visitation: 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell.
Graveside Service: 10 am Wednesday, January 19,2011 at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Hart County.
