Margaret "Polly" Manley Whitworth, age 90, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at her home.
Born July 10, 1928, in Lavonia, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John and Artie (Smith) Manley. She was of the Church of God faith.She worked for many years with her son and grandson at T&S Skating Rink. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Shelton Dank Whitworth; brothers: William "Buck" Manley and John A. Manley Jr.; sisters: Ruby Aldrich, Lois Sanders ad Dura "Tootsie" Crowe.
She is survived by her daughters: Becky Hulsey, Cindy Tye, Gwen Vaughn and Paula Whitworth: sons: Tony & Evelyn Whitworth and Ricky & Barbara Whitworth; grandchildren: Kim Coile, Kristi Gauthier, Terry Whitworth, Bob Whitworth, Brannon Hulsey, Dustin Shirley, Brittany Shirley, Cassidy Tye, Miranda Vaughn, Shelley Phillips, Terra Whitworth, Eric Vaughn, Cory Vaughn, Michael Wood and Kayla Cobb: greatgrandchildren: Myles, Madison, Malory, Bella, Maddox, Riley, Presley, Jett, Knox, Rory, Skylar, Kyan, Georgia, Brayleigh, Callie, Abby, Tyson, Trey, Baylie, Lexie, Colton, Kylan, Madison, Chandler, Payton, and Aleah,
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Randal Dawson and Rev. Britt Ginn officiating. Burial will follow in Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, from 2:00 p.m.until service. The family will be at the home of her son Tony on Jackson Bridge Road.
