Robert Julian "R. J." Albrecht, age 27, of Canon, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at his home. Born on January 17, 1998, in New Britain, CT, he was the son of Robert W. and Carrie McNeff Albrecht.
R. J. spent his formative years in Franklin County, where he graduated from Franklin County High School as part of the Class of 2016. R. J. worked as a dedicated diesel mechanic with West Fleet Services in Comer. Outside of work, he was known for his love of the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hiking scenic trails. R. J. also cherished the exhilaration of riding his motorcycle and treasured the companionship of his two beloved dogs, Shadow and Lucky.
Above all, R. J. valued his family deeply. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Carrie Albrecht, and his fiancé, Faith Jordan. He leaves behind a grandmother, Mary McNeff Howell, sister Nicole Kelsch and her husband Nick, as well as brothers Patrick Albrecht with his wife Priscilla, and Tyler Albrecht with his girlfriend Caitlin Buffington. R. J. was also a proud uncle to Carter Albrecht, and will be fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of R. J.'s life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Victoria Bryant State Park. In accordance with his request, R. J. was cremated.
