Robert Dale Burroughs, age 88, of Carnesville, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his home.

Born October 30, 1935, in Orlando, FL, he was the son of the late Robert Arthur and Anna (Seaman) Burroughs. He was a veteran of the US Army. Before Retirement he worked 40 years as an equipment operator for the Florida Power Corporation. After moving to Franklin County, he worked as a bus driver for Franklin County Schools. He was a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Burroughs enjoyed gardening & growing plants also watching Atlanta Braves Baseball and the Georgia Bulldogs Football.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Ruthann Kardas Burroughs.

He is survived by his daughter: Christina J. Burroughs; son: Bryant M. Burroughs both of Carnesville; and brothers: Dean Burroughs of Salisbury, MD & Jim Burroughs of Winter Garden, FL.

Mr. Burroughs request was to be cremated and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
