Obituary
Mrs. Rachel Byrum Roe, age 76, of 120 Roe Road, Bowersville, GA, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born February 3, 1932 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde L. and Jurllee Isom Byrum.She was employed for a number of years in Textiles and also was a Cattle and Poultry Farmer.She was a long time member of Bowersville Baptist Church.
Her survivors include:Nephew raised in the home, Ted Yeargin and his wife Christy of Bowersville, GA; Sister, Betty Yeargin of Bowersville, GA; Brother, Hugh Byrum of Bowersville, GA; Niece, Connie Stovall and her husband Wesley, and great nephew Brian; She was Nanny Rachel to two great nephews, Colt and Ty Yeargin. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband, Bill Roe.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Connie Ivester will officiate.Burial will be in the Bowersville City Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Bowersville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 26, Bowersville, GA30516.
