Rachel Old Stockwell, age 40, of Athens, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Born January 6, 1969 in Atlanta, GA. She was the daughter of Ralph N. Old, Sr. and Sara Faircloth. Mrs. Stockwell was a Special Education Para-Professional with an associate's degree in education. Along with her husband and daughter, she attended the Central Presbyterian Church in Athens.
Survivors include her parents; husband: Greg Stockwell of the home; daughter Sara Winn Stockwell also of the home; brothers and sisters-in-law: Neal & Sally Old of Lavonia and Steve & Nelda Old of Cartersville; brother: Chester Old of Atlanta; step father: Gene Faircloth of Athens.
She was preceded in death by a brother: John Old.
Funeral services will be held at the Lavonia United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday May 30, 2009 with Dr. Sheila Bookout officiating. Interment will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
