Obituary
Ralph E. Bailey, 87 of Southwest Ranches, FL, passed away at his home on August 16, 2018.
Ralph was born on July 7, 1931 in Hart County, GA and was the son of the late Lee Edgar Bailey and the late Annie Lizzie (Eaves) Bailey.He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Ralph joined the United States Marine Corps to serve his country during the Korean War Conflict and was stationed in Miami, FL.
After military service, Ralph was employed in the construction industry in Miami and retired as an operating engineer.
Ralph is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Rosetta (Berryman) Bailey of Southwest Ranches, FL; two sons, Mike Bailey of Davie, FL and Bobby Bailey (Debbie) of Hartwell, GA; two grandchildren, Bonney B. (Matt) Vitta and Michael (Tina) Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Troy Vitta.Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Lane (Bailey) Moon.
Visitation was Monday, August 20 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Joseph A. Scarano Funeral Home – Stirling Memorial Chapel, 6970 Stirling Road, Davie, FL, 33314. Interment services were held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. at The South Florida Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL with full military honors.For more information please contact Sterling Memorial Chapel at 954-438-8222.
