Mr. Ralph Emerson Jones Jr., 55, of 1749 Ridgeview Rd, Lavonia, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 19 in Mt. Pleasant SC.

Born on January 22, 1955, he was the son of the late Ralph Emerson Jones, Sr. He was employed with Nasons Medical Center as an Echo cardiographer.He had two registries in Ultrasound, both specializing in Cardiology.He also had an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and also attended Lee College, Cleveland TN.He was a member of The Way Church of Hartwell, a deacon, SS teacher of the Soul Seekers SS Class, a Lay Speaker and had gone on several mission trips to Moldova.He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his mother, Sarah Walker Jones; wife, Jean Williams Jones of the home; a son, Tony Maxwell of Hartwell; a daughter, Traci Bryant and her husband Jason of Royston; a brother, Steven Dwayne Jones of Bridgeville DE; three grandchildren, Kayli Bryant, Faith Bryant and Matthew Maxwell also survive.He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Micah Jones.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 25 at 4:00 p.m. at The Way Church of Hartwell with Rev. Lee Smith officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. 3:30 p.m. Sunday.Family request in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Way Church, PO Box 1250, Hartwell, GA30643.
