Obituary
Mr. Ralph Judson Martin, 96, of 38 Race St., Hartwell, died Sunday, November 14 at Hart Co. Hospital.
Born on November 12, 1914 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Sam Martin and Hettie Alice Shiflet Martin.He retired with 52 years of service from Hartwell Mills and was a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Billy S. Martin of Hartwell and R. Stanley Martin of Marietta; two daughters, Jeanette Gurley and Brenda Bell both of Hartwell; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Shaw Martin and two brothers, Floyd Martin and Curtis Martin.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. James Sexton officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.The family is at their respective homes.
