Mr. Ralph Carl Maxwell, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.

Born on September 10, 1945 in Bowersville, GA, he was the son of the late Florine Maxwell.  Mr. Maxwell was a retired store manager for Quality Foods, and was a former manager for Colonial, Big Star, and Ingles. He was also a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Dockery Maxwell of the home; one son: Randal Maxwell (Delana) of Hartwell; one daughter: Rita Vickery (Gary) of Hartwell; one brother: Charles Maxwell of Hartwell; five grandchildren: Amanda Brown (Kyle), Justin Vickery (Haley McElhannon), Rafe Maxwell, Ally Vickery, Reece Maxwell; and one great-grandchild: Kyson Brown.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Maxwell will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Meeks and Mr. Verlin Reece officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
