Obituary
Ralph Louis Rigdon, age 82, of Martin, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart.
Born July 15, 1935, in Washington, Missouri, he was a son of the late Lawrence Rigdon and Francis Strubberg. He retired from the Georgia Army National Guard 277th Maintenance Company in 1984. He also retired from AutoZone. Mr. Rigdon was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Thelma (Wilson) Rigdon; and son-in-law: Clifford Miller.
He is survived by his children: Tracy Holtzclaw (Jeff), Carol Mumbower, Brooks Rigdon (Lisa), Kent Rigdon (Kitty), Christine Kimmey (Eddie), Theresa Miller; and Lamont Wittig (Charlotte); grandchildren: Jacob Rigdon, Kailey Rigdon, Morgan Holtzclaw, Kaci Holtzclaw, Justin Mumbower, Ryan Mumbower, Jacob Miller, Patrick Miller, Clay Kimmey, Matt Whitman, and Cole Rigdon; three great-grandchildren; brothers: Preston Kruel, James Kruel, and Larry Kruel; and best friend of 30 years: J. B. Harrison.
The family will plan a memorial service at a later date. Mr. Rigdon was cremated in accordance with his request.
