Mr. Ralph N. Temple, 95, of 95 Murray Avenue, Hartwell, peacefully passed away, September 15, 2013 at Halcyon Hospice in Atlanta, GA.
Born on February 9, 1918 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late A.S. Temple and Alice Nixon Temple. Mr. Temple was retired from Newton Mills as a Loom Technician, was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran having served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Cleveland Temple; two daughters: Cathy Stansell and her husband Joseph of Royston, Lisha Dickerson and her husband Mark of Dewy Rose; two brothers: Herman Temple and Curtis Temple both of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Autum Henry, Joseph Stansell, and Emily Stansell; and five great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Temple was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Kathleen Deegan-Neal and Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family is at the home of Autum Henry, 32 Evans Road, Hartwell, GA.
