Obituary
Mr. Rance Reed, 72, of 659 Mt. Olivet School Road, Hartwell, Ga., died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on May 28, 1934 in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late Thamer Reed and Mavis Morris Reed.He was a former supervisor at Monroe Auto Equipment Co. and former owner-operator of B & R Seats and Upholstery.He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife: Bettie Bailey Reed of the home, four sons: Bryan Reed and his wife Darlene, Stanley Reed and his wife Kathy, Russell Reed and his wife Linda and James Reed and his wife Tiffany all of Hartwell, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Joyce Bryson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Black and Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday night.The family is at the home.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Building Fund, 2973 Mt. Olivet Rd., Hartwell, GA30643
