Mr. Randall Skelton, 69, of 646 Liberty Hill Road, Hartwell, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his home.

Born on December 15, 1943 in Elberton GA, he was the son of the late Harold Skelton and Sara Bond Skelton.He was a graduate of Forrest College and a retired machinist from METCO of Anderson.He was a member of the Carswell Baptist Church in Iva and a U.S. Army and Georgia Army National Guard veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Maxwell Skelton; two daughters, Rhonda S. Hayes and her husband Mark of Danville KY and Reagyn Lee Saxon and her husband Thomas of Dewy Rose GA; a step-daughter, Rhonda McGuffin and her husband Terry of Iva SC and a step-son, Tim Fleming of Townville SC; a brother, Jimmy Skelton of SC and a sister, Sonja Mettee of Clearwater FL; four grandchildren, Taylor Saxon, Garrett Saxon, Natalie Hayes and Hunter Hayes; four step-grandchildren; Hunter Fleming, Fisher Fleming, Luke McGuffin and Joshua McGuffin also survives.Mr. Skelton was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenneth Skelton and a sister, Shirley Mercer.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 22 at 4:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Moon officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
