Mr. Ray Boles, 76 of Hartwell, husband of Ann Crump Boles went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens GA.

Born on August 26, 1948 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late Walter Lee Boles and Mamie Brown Boles. Ray retired in 2007 from Hartwell Mills after 41 years and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He also was an avid golfer, a member of the Hartwell Golf Course and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years: Ann Boles; his daughters: Allyson Pearce of Hartwell, Amie Rae Smith (Ira) of Elberton; five grandchildren: Nathan Smith, Michael Fleeman (Brittany), and their children: Sierra, Ford, Blakely, Braxtyn, Trevor & Camdin; Amberley Reno (Ben), and their children: Kohen & Kaisley Rae; Jonathan Pearson (Ashley), and their children: Lucas, Laney & baby on the way;  Nicholas Hamdan (Jena), and their children: Kolson, Grayson & Easton; one brother: Tony Boles of Hartwell and Daddy's baby "Oscar".

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Frances Stewart, Corene Christian, Winnie Roach, JoAnn Ivester, Mary Lynn Boles, Bill, Dub, Donald, Douglas, Mack, Hugh, Gene, and Dale Boles.

Mr. Boles will lie in state on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell for anyone to come and pay their respect. The family will be at their respective homes.

Crypt side services for Mr. Ray Boles will be Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Mr. Leslie Boles.  Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. The family will receive friends after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell Golf Club, 755 Golf Club Road, Hartwell GA 30643.
