Mr. Ray R. Eaves, 71, of 126 Condor Street, Hartwell, died Saturday, January 5 at his home.

Born on October 9, 1941 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Robert Junior Eaves and Vera Sanders Eaves.He was a retired machine operator for Monroe Auto Equipment Company and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Rodney T. Eaves and his wife Peggy of Norris SC; a daughter, Brooke Adamski and her husband Jeff of Hartwell; a brother, Bruce Eaves of Hartwell; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.The family is at the home of Brooke and Jeff Adamski, 170 Sunset Drive, Hartwell.
