Mr. Billy Ray Evans, 49, of Evans Road, Hartwell, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at his parents' home.

Born on February 2, 1965 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of George Inman Evans and Margaret Morrison Evans. He was a member of Lavonia Church of Christ and the Hart County Volunteer Fire Department – Bio Station #7.

Survivors include his parents; his wife: Lisa Simpson Evans; one brother: Wade Evans of Hartwell and two nephews: Wesley Evans & Jon Evans.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Minister John Massey and Mr. Jeffery Simpson officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
