Mr. Ramon A. "Ray" Peacock, 68, of Bowman, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Elbert Memorial Hospital, Elberton.

Born on May 18, 1953 in Thomasville FL, he was the son of the late Dr. Hugh Anthony Peacock and Helen Willis Peacock.Ray was a ATV/Motorcycle mechanic, member of the Fork Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, summers by the pool with family, antiquing, being an avid dinosaur collector and "a jack of all trades".

Survivors include his wife: Pam Posey Peacock; a son: Zach Peacock (Wendy) of Bowman; a daughter: Rose Hurley (Mike) of Dewy Rose; eight grandchildren: Kenzie Hurley, Maks Hurley, Morgan Hurley, Dakota Peacock, Kai Peacock, Jaycie Peacock, Jackson Hudson and Mattison Hudson; two sisters: Beth P. Smith of Alachua FL and Mary P. Dennis (Mark) of Niceville FL and his loving companions: Red, Missy, Girlie and Princess.Mr. Peacock was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Linda Peacock and a brother-in-law: Scott Smith.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home of Zach & Wendy Peacock, 2558 Deep Creek Road, Bowman.

Funeral services for Mr. Ray Peacock will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Bill Vaughn officiating.Burial will be in the Fork Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowman.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
