Mrs. Raynell Tucker Cheek, age 59, of Lavonia, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born July 12, 1952, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Homer Tucker and the late Pearl (Clemons) Mize. Mrs. Cheek worked for Kautex Textron. She was a member of Lavonia First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her father & step mother: Homer & Barbara Tucker; step father: Joel Mize; sons:Jeff Cheek and Joey Cheek; brother: Ray Tucker; sisters: Nancy Standard, Marlene Harris, Patsy Burton, & Jean Campbell; grandchildren: Jaden Cheek, Carson Cheek, Montana Cheek, & Waylon Cheek; and friend: Mary Lou Jackson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2011 at Lavonia First Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Finger, Rev. Richard Bielski, & Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
