Reba Thompson

Miss Reba Lois Thompson, 90, of Dewy Rose, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at The Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on July 26, 1936, in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Thompson and Maggie Evelyn Adams Thompson. She was a retired seamstress from Bellcraft Manufacturing Company and a member of Sardis Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and participated in various activities. She loved gardening, watching her plants grow and being with children.

Survivors include her sister: Brenda R. Thompson and several nieces and nephews. Miss Thompson was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Joe W. Thompson and one sister: Frances Thompson Gambrell

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral Services for Miss Reba Thompson will be Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Elmore officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church, 4359 Anderson Highway, Hartwell GA 30643.
