Mrs. Rebecca Bryan Martin, 83, of Providence Point Lane, Hartwell, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019.

Born on May 8, 1936, in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Butler Bryan and Mary Genelle Carley Bryan. Mrs. Martin graduated from Lander College in Greenwood, SC, and was an educator. Her next career was as a salesperson with Olin Mills, Inc. She was of Methodist faith.

Survivors include her husband: William Vernon Martin, Sr.; a daughter: Kimberly Martin (Patrick Dunn) of Lorton, VA; two sons: Brett Martin (Vickie) of Harwell, GA, and Bill Martin, Jr., (Lori) of Union Point, GA; three sisters: Jean Dawson of Houston, TX, Gail Little of Hickory, NC, and Joy Hamrick of Inman, SC; four grandchildren: Jacob Martin, Cameron Martin, Olivia Martin, and Jonathan Martin; two step-grandchildren: John Piscitelli and Jessy Piscitelli; and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Willie Butler Bryan, Jr.; and one grandson: Dustin Martin.

A memorial service celebrating Rebecca's life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church, 1194 Meeting Street Road, Edgefield, SC, with Rev. Ned Klugh and Cameron Martin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church, c/o Debra Logue, 1126 Hwy 378, Edgefield, SC 29824.
