Ms. Rebecca Lee Gurley Rice, age 44, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Hartwell GA, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Shands Hospital, Jacksonville FL.
Born June 20, 1963 in Hartwell, GA, she was a graduate of Hart County High School.She received a degree in Registered Nursing from Tri-County Technical College and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
She was married to Tim Rice.Survivors include:Daughter, Breanna Lee Rice of Danielsville, GA; Sister, Bridgette Carlton of Elberton, GA; Father, Joe Gurley of Hardwick, G A, and stepmother, Ann Gurley of Hartwell, GA.She was preceded in death by brother, Barry Lyn Gurley and mother Linda Vickery Gurley.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, GA.Rev. Ben Coleman and Rev. Terry Meeks will officiate.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home of an Aunt, Shirley Green, 68 Gurley Road, Bowersville, GA.
