Rebekah Rice Powers, age 54, of Lavonia, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born April 15, 1958, in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Betty Jean (Clyburn) Rice. She was Front Office Coordinator for Medlink of Georgia and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Laura R. Woody; a brother: John R. Rice; and a son-in-law: Mike Green.
Survivors include her husband: Roger Powers; children: Owen Seth and Danielle Dixon, Derrick Eugene Dixon, Miranda Jean Dixon, Kim and Todd Critchlow, Kelly Green, Chris and Bryan Higgins & Alison and Bryan Shore; grandchildren: Evan Dixon, Brock Dixon, Gabbi Engram, K'von Engram, Alan Hix, Tori Hix, Daniel Hix, Steven LeCroy, Christie LeCroy, Alex Higgins, Abbey Mitchell, Haleigh and Drew Shore and Samantha and Breane Critchlow; great grandchildren: Trey and Kal Hix & Carter Heaton; siblings: Beverly and Wayne Mitchell & Donna and Gary Tomlin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013, at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Black officiating. A visitation will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Building Fund or Music Fund 2973 Mt. Olivet Road Hartwell, GA 30643
