Ms. Sherry Rene Bailey, 57, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at AnMed Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on December 20, 1967 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Jerry D. Bailey and Sidney Haley Carey Bailey.

Survivors include her cousin and caregiver: Donna Pickens and her husband, Hubert "Pookie" Pickens of Hartwell; a special friend: Rita Ricks of Hartwell and a host of other cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Rene will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Starrett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Strickland Funeral Home to defer funeral expenses.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
