Mr. Richard P. "Dick" Heimerich, 79, of 1388 Old Beacon Light Rd, Hartwell, died Thursday, November 26 at St. Mary's Hospice, Athens.
Born on February 21, 1930 in Manhattan New York, he was the late Oskar Heimerich and Theodora May Heimerich. He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant, serving 21 years in the U S Air Force.He was also retired from Fulton County Government in 1990 as a Data Systems Manager.He was a former member of the Hart Co. Golden K and the Kelley Stompers of the Kelley Chapel United Methodist Church.He was a Mason, member of the American Legion Post 109, Hartwell Golf Club and the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Ann" Lovell Heimerich of the home; two sons, Rick Heimerich of Duluth and Chuck Heimerich and his wife Melinda of Dacula; a daughter, Donna Heimerich of Acworth; a sister, Kathy Mangan and her husband Bob of Hartwell and a granddaughter, Mollie Heimerich also survives.
A memorial service will be Sunday, November 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.Full military honors will follow the memorial service.
