Mr. Rickey Barnette Dockery, 49, of 176 Thermon Adams Rd., Dewy Rose, GA, died Friday, April 6 at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence SC.

Born on April 6, 1958 in Clarkesville, GA, he was the son of Wanda Burks Dockery and the late William Dockery.He was a construction worker for Jerico Construction Company and a member of the Goldmine Church of God.

Survivors include his mother: Wanda B. Dockery of Dewy Rose; a daughter: Jennifer Dockery of Dewy Rose; two step-daughters: Ann Kinney of Olive Hill KY and Lynn Wood of New Market TN; a brother: David Dockery of Bowman; two sisters: Terry Maxwell and Kimberly Dockery both of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Bradenton Welborn, Alyssa Kinney, D.J. Pace Jr. and Emily Wood.He was preceded in death by his father and a sister: Barbara Howell.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Starrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.The family is at the home.
