Mr. Richard James "Ricky" Britt, 57, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his home.

Born on August 17, 1965 in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of Callie Turpin Smith and the late R.C. Brake. Mr. Britt was a musician and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by mother: Callie T. Smith of Hartwell; son: Richard Warren "Richey" Britt of Hartwell; step-daughter: Amanda Ayers (Steve) of Canon; sister: Debbie Jordan (Lee) of Carnesville; and three grandchildren: Kaylee, Ryder, and Brantley. Mr. Britt is preceded in death by his father; and his wife: Judy Crump Britt.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 17, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

It was Ricky's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Scott Davis officiating.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
